The Records

1. Immunization certificate — Wyo. Stat. §21-4-309

Under Wyo. Stat. §21-4-309, no child may be admitted to any Wyoming public or private school without proof of immunization on file. The Wyoming Department of Health maintains the Wyoming Immunization Registry (WyIR), and schools can verify records directly through it.

Required immunization records for Wyoming school entry:

DTaP/Tdap — 5 doses (4 doses if 4th given at age 4+)
IPV (Polio) — 4 doses (3 doses if 3rd given at age 4+)
MMR — 2 doses (both on or after 1st birthday)
Hepatitis B — 3 doses
Varicella — 2 doses (or documented history of disease)

7th-grade checkpoint: Students entering 7th grade need a Tdap booster. Schedule with your child's provider in spring so the updated WyIR record is ready before fall registration.

2. WyIR and Docket — accessing your child's records

The Wyoming Immunization Registry (WyIR) tracks immunization records for children vaccinated in Wyoming. Healthcare providers and schools can access it directly.

The Docket app: Wyoming participates in the Docket program, which allows parents to view and download their child's WyIR immunization record directly on a mobile device. Other ways to get your child's record:

Through your child's provider — any Wyoming pediatrician or family medicine provider can access the WyIR and print a current immunization certificate.
Through your county public health office — county public health nurses can look up WyIR records and issue certificates.
For out-of-state transfers — bring all prior vaccination documentation to your first Wyoming provider appointment. The provider verifies dose dates and enters valid out-of-state doses into the WyIR.

3. Beyond the immunization certificate
