How It Works

How the Family Stork address works: one private email address every clinic already knows how to use

Every person on Family Stork gets a private email address shown on their record. Clinics email visit summaries, lab results, and referral notes to that address — and the health story builds itself. No portal logins, no uploads, nothing for the clinic to learn.

In short
  • Each person gets a private @families.familystork.com address — generated automatically when you add a person to your family
  • Give the address to any clinic, hospital, lab, or specialist — they email records to it the same way they'd email any patient
  • Records arrive on the person's timeline automatically — no scanning, no uploads, no portal downloads

How does the Family Stork email address work?

When you create a record for a family member — your baby, yourself, or your aging parent — Family Stork generates a private email address shown on their record page. The address looks like unique-name@families.familystork.com (the exact address is shown on the person's record in your account).

You give that address to your child's pediatrician, your parent's cardiologist, the lab that ran the blood work, the dentist, the therapist — anyone. When they send a visit summary, a lab result, or a referral note, it arrives on that person's health timeline automatically.

What does the clinic do differently?

Nothing. Clinics already know how to send emails. Most practices email after-visit summaries, lab results, and appointment confirmations routinely. You're just giving them a different address to send them to — one that files the record instead of burying it in a cluttered inbox.

What about records that aren't emails?

For paper records — the immunization card in the kitchen drawer, the handwritten growth chart from the old pediatrician, the faded allergy test from ten years ago — snap a photo and add it to the timeline. Family Stork's AI reads the document and files it. But the email address is how the new records keep coming in without any effort from you.

One address per person, not one per family

Each family member gets their own private address and their own timeline. Your baby's well-child visits and your parent's cardiology reports stay separate — but you see them all from one account. When your child turns 18, their record is ready to hand over. When siblings share caregiving for a parent, they all see the same timeline.

Why not just use your regular email?

Because a health record buried in a Gmail thread between pizza coupons and school newsletters is not a health record. The Family Stork address is a dedicated endpoint: everything sent to it is recognized as a medical document, parsed, and filed on a timeline you can search, share with a new doctor, or print for a school form.

FAQ

Is the Family Stork address a real email address?

Yes. It receives emails like any other address. Clinics don't need special software, integrations, or FHIR APIs. They send an email — the record arrives.

Can I use the address with any provider?

Any provider who can send email can send to the Family Stork address. That includes small practices, urgent care clinics, specialists, labs, hospitals, dentists, and therapists. There is no network requirement and nothing for the provider to sign up for.

What if my provider uses MyChart or another portal?

Portals belong to the hospital. Your Family Stork address belongs to your family. You can download records from a portal and forward them, or ask the clinic to add the Family Stork address as a contact. Family Stork also supports connecting to MyChart and other portals directly — one timeline even when every hospital has its own portal.

Is my data private?

The address is private to the person it belongs to. Only you (and family members you invite) can see the records that arrive. Family Stork does not sell data, does not show ads, and does not share records with anyone you haven't authorized. See familystork.com/privacy.

How much does it cost?

Free to start and organize your records. $99/year (or about $10/month) for Family Stork to do the work — the AI filing, the timeline, the search, the sharing. Covers your entire family.

The Simpler Way

One email address. Every clinic already knows how to use it.

No app for the clinic to download. No portal to configure. No FHIR network to check. Your pediatrician sends an email — your baby's record updates itself. Your parent's cardiologist sends discharge notes — they're on the timeline before you get home.

One health story. One email address every clinic already knows how to use.

$99/year, or about $10/month. From your first heartbeat and beyond.
